Seven Pounds is an American drama that was released in December, 2008 starring Will Smith, Woody Harrelson, Rosario Dawson, and Barry Pepper. It features a man (played by Will Smith) who attempts to alter the lives of seven people. The film was directed by Gabriele Muccino and was released by Columbia Pictures in both the United States and Canada in December. It has a 123 minute run time and is rated PG-13 for sensuality, disturbing content, and thematic material.

Seven Pounds is based on a script written by Grant Nieporte and was filmed in and around the Los Angeles, California area. Other filming spots include Malibu and Pasadena. The plot of Seven Pounds finds an IRS agent, Tim Thomas played by Will Smith, causing a car wreck in which he kills seven people. He is filled with remorse which he cannot overcome, so he tries to save the lives of seven good people to atone for the deaths his wreck caused. He finds seven worthy people and awards them each a rare gift. He donates a lung to his brother, a kidney to a high school coach, bone marrow to a young child, and part of his liver to a child service worker.

He moves into a motel and gives his house to a woman with an abusive boyfriend. He commits suicide by poisoning himself with jellyfish in a freezing bathtub where his vital organs will be preserved. His last and final gift is to give his corneas to a blind man and his heart to a woman who has a heart condition and a rare blood, whom he as also fallen in love with. Finally he has saved seven peoples lives, each of which he got to know and deemed worthy.

He gives his corneas to an old blind man (played by Woody Harrelson) and he gives his heart to a young woman (played by Rosario Dawson) with a rare blood type and fatal heart condition, whom he just happened to be in love with. With these final two gifts he has save the lives of seven people, each of which he had gotten to know on a personal level. Seven Pounds promoted charities and held fund raisers for the needy in many different cities all over America. It was promoted in order to raise money for food banks and other various charities.

The movie opened in over 2,000 theaters, grossing $16 million on its opening weekend. It received mixed reviews from many different sources. It has been nominated for various awards, but the only thing the film has won was Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture at the 2009 Image Awards by Will Smith.

Each of the team member has own motive of being a part of the team. The members try to crack the case getting emotionally and personally attached with the case in the process.

The team of six meets at different places and discusses the leads obtained and each member puts in one’s own knowledge to help the case. All the members of the team are in the team to satisfy their own need and cause. The journey of crime solving for the team is what the show is all about.

Rachel Getting Married, starting Anne Hathaway, Bill Irwin, Debra Winger, Rosemarie DeWitte, and Anisa George, was directed by Jonathon Demme and written by Jenny Lumet. It is a romantic drama film that was released in select theaters in October 2008. The film was filmed in Connecticut in late 2007 and is rated “R” for thematic content, foul language, and sexuality. It has a run time of one hour and 52 minutes.

Rachel Getting Married is focused on a daughter, Kym (played by Hathaway), who is estranged from her family but returns home for her sister’s (Rachel, played by Deweitt) wedding to her fiance, Sydney, after being released from substance-abuse rehab for a few days. When she returns she throws the family into upheaval, bringing to the surface long-simmering tensions between many of her relations. These confrontations prove to be both heartbreaking and hilarious.

Obviously going home is difficult for a recovering addict, and it is no different for Hathaway’s character. It is especially hard when the visit is only for a few days. Even though the two sisters have always genuinely liked each other, their relationship is still strained and getting along is a struggle during Kym’s visit.

Rachel believes her father pays too much attention to Kym and can’t figure out why her father acts this way. Meanwhile he is just worried about his daughter and can’t understand how his close relationship with Kym causes problems between her and her sister.

After Kym arrives home she discovers that Rachel has chosen her friend, Emma, to be her maid of honor instead of her sister and becomes extremely upset. Rachel eventually replaced Emma with Kym as her maid of honor, much to the displeasure of Emma, and they continue to plan a traditional Native American service as planned.

Aside from their own problems, Kym and Rachel have to deal with their mother who is an extremely selfish person and is more worried about herself than either of her daughters. Besides the strain on relationships between everyone in the family, a tragedy that happened many years ago causes unseen tensions as well, as Kym is thought to be somewhat responsible.

Director Demme goes about creating this film in an unconventional way. Instead of putting together a soundtrack the customary way, he invited a Middle Eastern ensemble out of New York City to compose music live on-set during filming. The musicians were told to ignore the cameras completely and play whatever they felt like playing at any time. This was done in order to better support the film’s storyline and give the film a feeling of reality.

The New York Times, USA Today, the Chicago Tribune and Roger Ebert all gave Rachel Getting Married positive reviews. Rachel Hathaway’s portrayal of Kym received excellent reviews from USA Today, Empire, Newsweek, and many other sources. These and other critics complimented Rachel Getting Married for its organic feel, air of reality, ease, and warmth.

Private practice is a popular American TV show that is being aired for more than three years. The first season was launched in the year 2007 and it had a record number of viewers making the show the most watched in its slot. The season2 of Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles is already over and has been quite interesting for the viewers. Before the season there was this doubt in the mind of the viewers that would never be able to see conclusion of the show because there were too many characters coming before the season finale it seemed highly unlikely that there would justify the newer inclusions in the end.

With season’s finale coming up in no time the episodes got busy with plot developments, revelations ,new twists and plots of drama that all came crashing together in the end into a one final scene. You know I don’t understand the abundance of characters in the series. I mean there hasn’t been a single character death in the show (except for Cameron which is again inaccurate).What’s really eye catching is the romantic scene between John and Cameron. There is a certain sense of creepiness and perverseness associated with it which I really admired.

Even then the final sequence of “Born To Run” is quite bemusing for me. I mean, why didn’t Sarah stay with John? She says,” I will stop it John”-but somehow she is not doing anything. Derek’s comeback is not unusual.”Time Travel” is quite the theme of the series. So it is understandable. Kyle also made a similar comeback 4 years after being declared dead on the show. I hope they wouldn’t have included Brain Austin Green’s name in the opening credits because this way you can very easily predict the events in the upcoming episodes.

The finale was great bringing together so many elements of the show which were long overdue and managed to do a few things that surprised us all the way. I mean there was an emotional attached to the show which was otherwise fixated on human machines travelling back or forth in time. The characters justified their existence making the show far more complex and engaging as human drama although the TV ratings might not reflect that.

May be it is important to have a well known franchise like Fox than spending a huge investment into developing a new one more importantly for shows like these because of the greater element of risk involved. Especially on weekends. I mean would most probably be watching TV show or downloading one? What else can we do? Or some of us would probably be gossiping about the third season.

SO, let’s get a brief of what happened in “Born To Run” episode. Catherine weather tries to protect her daughter against a terminator. Then apparently a hunter killer flying drone sent by Al (John’s supposed brother) attacks Catherine forcing her to reveal her identity to Sarah, John, Ellison. Ellison is seemingly stoical about this development.

One interesting moment of the show is when Mr. Ellison passes on a message of” will you join us” to Cameron. She gets quite emotional about whole thing which is even admired by John. During her course of appearances on the surface she once spots Prince Eric and falls deeply in love with him. Right then a terrible storm breaks the prince’s boat and he is left to drown when Ariel saves his life and takes him ashore.

King Triton learns about the entire incidence and is furious with Ariel’s behavior and uses his trident to destroy Ariel’s human artifact collection. Ariel is totally shattered by the king’s behavior and at that very moment gets lured by two eels, Flotsam and Jetsam, to meet the sea witch Ursula who can make all of Ariel’s dream come true.

Ursula promises Ariel that she will give her legs and make her a girl for a period of three days within which she has to get Prince Eric’s kiss. Ariel is at first really excited as the task seems to be simple but then Ursula shows her cunningness by taking Ariel’s voice away.

Some of Ariel’s sea creature friends help take her human form to the shore where the prince soon finds her and is sure that she was the one who saved his life. But as soon as he learns that she cannot speak he is convinced that he was wrong. Ursula comes in the form of a beautiful woman and sings in Ariel’s voice to lure the prince and marry him. But will he?
