Making money through eBook sales isn’t exactly a new Internet activity; online publishers and marketers have been making money this way for quite a long time. If you’ve always wanted to profit from your own eBook and earn big cash, then the following article may prove to be helpful to you …

Set up Paid Membership Based On Your eBook: Let’s be honest: membership sites are really popular these days–especially if they can actually offer really great content. You already have lots of great information in your eBook; why not use it as the basis for a paid membership site? It is just as easy to offer more depth on topics covered in your eBook when you want to talk about something new. You also have the option of using your eBook as the foundation upon which you build more content that your target audience has been asking for. You can use your paid membership to support the ideas and techniques you teach in your eBook by using value laden content like interviews, professional examples, case studies, etc. You can let your members access the site for a monthly or a yearly fee, and if you go for the monthly model, you’ll end up making a lot of money because of the recurring sales. So you not only make money selling your eBook but also through your membership site.

Do Your Own Webinar: Webinars, which are just online seminars, are really easy to do. You can download one of the many webinar tools that allow you to create one without any technical know-how. So how does a webinar help you sell more copies of your eBook? Don’t charge anything for your webinars because this will increase the number of viewers; people love to get valuable information for free. The viewers you get may also bring in friends and other interested parties. You will see far more action after you have lined up people for your live seminar. All you have to do is present great content for zero cost while pre-selling your primary offer; your eBook. By the end of the webinar your viewers will know that you are really the real thing and that is when you introduce them to the eBook that you want to sell to them later.

Offer a Free Version: You know that people love free stuff so why not create a limited version of your eBook that you can offer without asking for money? Then all you have to do is link the free version to the main sales portal for the full version. It is important that you make sure that the content you offer through your free eBook is stellar so that the recipients will want to pay for the full version. You shouldn’t limit the distribution of the free version of your eBook–give your permission for readers to forward a copy along to the people they think will be most interested in it. If your eBook is worthwhile it should go viral and bring in lots of free targeted traffic.

You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to build your own eBook business you just need to know what to do and when to do it to make sure that you get as much attention as possible from the right people.

It’s Easy to Write an Ebook if You Have the Desire

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

Would you like to try and write an ebook? If so, what is stopping you? If you have always thought it was too complicated, think again. You don’t need to learn complicated programs or have excellent writing skills. What you need are desire, effort, and a belief in yourself.

Prior to anything else is the necessity of having the software that can create an ebook. You can locate many of these online at no cost. Perhaps the most popular of these programs can be downloaded from the Open Office website. It’s easy to install and comes with an extensive help file.

Setting a goal for your project from the outset will make things much easier for you. There will be less chance of feeling overwhelmed if you set small tasks for yourself. You will be able to maintain your focus if you have a set plan to follow.

Before you do any actual writing, ask yourself why you want to write an ebook. Do you intend to sell it for profit? Maybe you will use it as a bonus to promote a website. Either way, it’s always best to write about a subject that interests you and that you know something about.

The next thing you should do is to try to think of a few titles for your new book. This can help you focus on what you wish to write about. You don’t even have to use any of these titles for your finished product. The mere act of writing them down can make you feel as if you are accomplishing something.

At this point you should begin the actual core of the book. You will have the best results if you simply write as you would speak to a friend. Be yourself, in other words. Don’t worry about getting everything perfect, because you will need to come back later to proofread.

It is important to understand that you will almost always revise large parts of your book. That’s what makes ebook writing so much easier than other formats. It’s very simple to do such tasks as spell checking and rearranging paragraphs, for example.

After the completion of your book, you will want to consider how it will appear on a computer screen. Ebooks are usually read in this way instead of being printed. Therefore, make the font and line spacing a little larger than average.

Your first attempt to write an ebook may not be as successful as you would like. This should not discourage you. The simple fact that you made the effort to write one should give you some satisfaction. Keep at it, and it will become much easier with practice.
